Seeking a Production Scheduler to join a rapidly growing team near Sanford, FL. Must have previously worked in the printing industry.

This person will coordinate the press production schedule. Additional responsibilities include ensuring jobs are assigned to presses based on maximizing output and business priority. Will work closely with Press and Rewind Team Leads, Shift Supervisor and Plant Manager.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The Quality Manager operates under the supervision of the Plant Manager with direction from the Division Director of Quality and is responsible for the Quality Management System employed by the team including, but not limited to the development, setting and enforcement of procedures, policies and standards affecting the Quality of our products. Qualifications, Education and Experience

• BS Degree in technical area plus five years’ experience in Quality/Manufacturing or ten years’ relevant experience

Efficient production of UV and water-based Pharmaceutical labels and booklet style labels.

Verify consistent product quality through effective and documented in-process product quality checks in support of our Quality System

Mix, match and tone inks.

Trouble shoot web presses.

Properly handle and make-ready rotary dies and other press elements such as sheeter / perf dies, lineal scorers, line-hole dies, Cameron blades, stacker units, etc.

Accurately record roll-to-roll counts.

Complete daily time sheets and job data entry in PSI data entry system

Organize and identify need for re-order of press supplies.

Communicate with Department Supervisors regarding planning issues or difficulties to ensure proper documentation toward continuous improvement activities.

Offset Press Operator Job Duties:

• Responsibility for overall operation of the printing press.

About the role:

The Plate Mounting Technician is responsible for accurately mounting plates on to printing cylinders or sleeves so that the colors, as designated by the individual work order, go into the correct register when they get to the presses. Hours are 10:45 pm – 7: 15 am. Relocation reimbursement is offered!

To perform this job, you will obtain and read job work orders. Collect cylinders for each job and strip sticky back, mount print plates on cylinders by color, make sure all cylinders are correctly mounted and locked in place by interpreting and following quality and safety instructions, comparing different items, coordinating activities. Solve problems and correct errors by detecting details, analyzing information, measuring and making calculations, reading manuals and instructions, researching problems, using judgment. Discuss production schedule with Shift Supervisor. Troubleshoot problems to prevent press downtime.

Essential Functions:

Position: Flexographic narrow-web Printing Press Operator

Primary Responsibilities:

· Operator must manage all aspects of a printing job – from preparing a press for printing, through completion of a production run, while monitoring every aspect of the job to ensure conformance with job specifications & in compliance with ISO quality, GMP production & safety standards.

· Completes all production run paperwork including documentation of production issues, such as material problems, down-time & plate or color-related issues

· Constantly monitors quality and press variables, as production jobs are in progress; making adjustments as needed to ensure the colors and registration are accurate throughout the production run

· Communicates with Bindery and Shipping areas to ensure a good handoff of a completed production run

· Identifies opportunities for improving standards, efficiencies and systems

· Maintains a clean machine and work environment, notifying Maintenance of any necessary equipment adjustments or repairs.
