SUMMARY

Responsible for pulling, matching, and returning inks for/from production orders. Ink Technician must also be able to match ink on press and have knowledge of LAB values, using a spectrophotometer, and Xrite software.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Color match ink for press jobs by draw down using established procedures.  Stage all inks based on production schedules. Cover weekend shift. 

 

  • Ensure proper labeling of all incoming and outgoing inks, while also maintaining ink inventory software.

 

  • Ensure an acceptable quantity of ink is going out to press. 

 

  • Maintain an inventory and work off ink system.

Multiple openings for experienced flexo press operators with a privately-held convertor. Operators will run a rotary press (preference for Mark Andy P7 experience). Responsibilities include daily start-up, production runs, clean-ups and shutdowns. Press operators can expect 2-3 changeovers per shift.
